Hannah Dempsey

I am an Irish performance artist based in London, graduating from a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths. My practice focuses on durational performance as a means of exploring trauma, the unconscious and embodied experience. I use repetition and extended actions to reframe the mundane as ritual, creating space for catharsis and reflection.

My work is informed by an interest in the relationship between body and psyche, often engaging with processes of endurance, vulnerability and transformation.

I am currently part of the monthly performance night 'Ballads from the Settee', held at Greatorex Street Gallery in Whitechapel.
